The man that would become Alidoro traveled to Krat from a distant land in the far east, accompanied by his infant sister. He became involved with the Alchemists but soon bore witness to the disturbing experiments they were conducting on people. After he learned that the Alchemists ultimate objective was to harness the Petrification Disease to force humanity's evolution, he left the organization. Fearing for not only his own safety but also that of his beloved sister, he made the heart-wrenching decision to leave her behind and adopt the new identity of Alidoro. To atone for his involvement with the group and to keep a watchful eye over his sister, Alidoro became a clandestine guardian of Krat, a vigilante known as the "Hound of Krat." Through a series of daring and selfless acts, he carved a name for himself in the city's folklore. In one particular incident, Alidoro displayed incredible bravery by saving his sister from a raging fire that engulfed the Workshop Union Tower. The heroic act, however, came at the cost of his finger.

As the years passed, the weight of guilt for his past association with the Alchemists grew unbearable. Alidoro decided to confide in a local reporter named Medoro, recounting his entire story over several months. A deep friendship blossomed between them, yet the Alchemists thwarted Medoro's efforts to expose the truth, tarnishing his reputation in the process.

A tragic rift emerged in Alidoro's life when a heated dispute erupted with his partner, Parrot. While Parrot held Alidoro in high regard, he lacked the same unwavering commitment to their noble cause, believing that their talents should yield profits. Alidoro, in a moment of unyielding principle, severed their partnership after Parrot sold valuable antiques. This separation escalated into a brief but violent confrontation that ended with Alidoro's death.

Parrot, opportunistic and cunning, seized the mantle of Alidoro and appropriated a deeply personal letter that Alidoro had written to his sister. With Alidoro's fame as his shield, Parrot exploited the city's admiration, employing deceit to swindle people of their treasures and resorting to theft and violence when necessary. His actions culminated in the city issuing a wanted poster that tainted the legacy Alidoro had so painstakingly built.

Amid the chaos of the widespread Petrification Disease and the Puppet Frenzy, Parrot sought refuge in St. Frangelico Cathedral. He continued masquerading as Alidoro, offering a false sense of security to those in need. Unlike the real Alidoro, Parrot turned a blind eye to their pleas, prioritizing only his own survival. When the Cathedral became overrun by the Carcass, he abandoned his supposed protectees and sought solace in the library. He later met an extraordinary puppet named Pinocchio. Parrot continued to use the Alidoro identity and asked P if he knew of a safe place to stay. After P told him that Hotel Krat was still safe, Parrot thank him for the information and departed.

Sometime later, Parrot traveled to the Hotel and spoke with P. He claimed to be a descendant of the city's most aristocratic families and that "repaying debts is what we nobles do". As such, he gave P the "honor" of being able to look at his treasure in exchange for Ergos from powerful enemies. Over the course of his stay at the hotel, Parrot soon became noticed by Eugénie, the real Alidoro's sister. Eugénie did not know she had a brother due to Alidoro leaving her at such an early age. Despite this, she heavily admired Alidoro for saving her from the Workshop Tower fire all those years ago. Believing Parrot to be the real Alidoro, she began to fawn over him. He soon became annoyed by this as he knew she was Alidoro's sister and feared his identity would be discovered.

Parrot later departed to the Barren Swamp in search of a legendary weapon. It was at this time that he was contacted by the Alchemists who were concocting a plan to infiltrate the hotel. They enticed him to disable the Hotel's security system upon his return though he was hesitant at first. While Parrot did not care for any of the other survivors, he did feel some guilt. P managed to track him down in the swamp and gave him a special four-fingered glove that had been crafted by Eugénie as a gift. Parrot was initially delighted to receive a gift but immediately rejected it as, unlike the real Alidoro, he still possessed all his fingers. P also confronted him on his Wanted poster but blamed it as "yellow journalism" by Alidoro's friend Medoro. After P defeated the Green Monster Of The Swamp, Parrot revealed himself. He thanked P for serving as bait while he collected the weapon he had been searching for. He then returned to the hotel to enact the Alchemists plans.

Parrot disabled the Hotel's security which allowed the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, Red Fox, and Black Cat to infiltrate the hotel from the Relic of Trismegistus below. They trashed the building and abducted Geppetto who held the powerful Arm of God artifact. Parrot followed them back through the Relic of Trismegistus secret passage. However, P followed them and defeated the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, finding Parrot cowering nearby by. Parrot revealed his identity and motivations for betraying the hotel. P was left with a choice - spare or slay Parrot for his deeds. If P chooses to kill him, Parrot will scoff at the idea. Parrot believed that P was limited by who he could hurt and insinuated this was due to a lack of trust from his creator. Unfortunately for Parrot, P had no such limitation and attacked him. In his last moments, Parrot was surprised that P was becoming human.

Later, Rookie Explorer Hugo stumbled upon Parrot's body. Mistaking him for the real Alidoro, Hugo adopted his attire and mission, determined to carry on the legacy of Krat's heroic guardian with true dedication and noble intentions.

Gameplay[]

Alidoro is first encountered in the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library. From the Stargazer, travel to the upper floors. After defeating an elite Carcass, there will be an elevator. Take it up to be brought to a balcony where Alidoro is located. He will ask the player for a safe placecto stay. The player can choose to lie and send him to Workshop Union Entrance or tell the truth and send him to Hotel Krat. Either answer will reward the player with a Fire Abrasive. If Alidoro is not spoken to before defeating Fallen Archbishop Andreus, he will be located next to the elevator in Archbishop's Altar. He will once again ask for a safe place to stay and will reward the player.

If Alidoro was told to go to Venigni Works, he will can be found beside the Stargazer. By speaking to him, the player can once again lie and tell him to go to Elysion Boulevard or tell the truth and send him to the hotel. No matter what answer, he will travel to Hotel Krat. At the hotel, Alidoro can be found in the back of the hall beside the room Antonia sits in. He will then allow the player to purchase his special weapons and amulets in exchange for boss Ergos.

After defeating Champion Victor, Alidoro will travel to the Barren Swamp Entrance. From the Stargazer, follow the path until it loops back around through a small tower. After leaving the tower a mine cart can be released to destroy a wall and serve as a shortcut back to the stargazer. Travel over the wooden bridge to the left of the shortcut to find Alidoro. Here players can continue to purchase items from him. If the player retrieved the Four-Fingered Glove from Eugénie, they can give it to him. Alidoro subsequently rejects the gift. The player can then choose to lie or tell the truth to Eugénie about his reaction.

Once the Green Monster Of The Swamp is defeated in Barren Swamp Nest, Alidoro will appear and thank the player for serving as bait while he collected treasure. He will not allow the player to view his inventory and will tell them that he is going back to the hotel. If the player spoke to Rookie Explorer Hugo and receievd the Wanted: Alidoro poster, they can confront him about it though Alidoro claims it to be a fake.

Following the defeat of the Corrupted Parade Master, it is revealed that Alidoro betrayed everyone by disabling the hotel security. This allowed the Black Rabbit Brotherhood to ransack the hotel and kidnap Geppetto. After defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood at the Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field, travel up the hill to find Alidoro. He will reveal why he betrayed the hotel and that he is not the real Alidoro. Players can then purchase items like normal or choose to kill or spare him. If he is killed, he will drop Alidoro's Cryptic Vessel.

If Alidoro dies, Rookie Explorer Hugo will take his place at the hotel and sell his items. If Alidoro is spared, he will remain at the Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field.
