A Dimensional Butterfly is a special enemy in Lies of P.
Overview[]
Killing a Dimensional Butterfly awards the player with Materials which can be used to upgrade weapon blades and alter handles. Dimensional Butterflies are detected with Monad's Lamp which will pulsate and glow red when one is nearby. By turning on the lamp, players can reveal Dimensional Butterflies and kill them. Once a butterfly is revealed, the player will have a limited amount of time to kill them before they disappear. If this happens, rest at a Stargazer and return to the site for the butterfly respawn. Once killed, they will not respawn for the remainder of the playthrough.
The game features 31 Dimensional Butterflies with three color variants.
- Red - Move fast and circle around areas.
- Pink - Will teleport to a nearby location after taking damage and must be revealed again.
- Gold - Have the most health and pulsate after several seconds. This will push the player back and inflict minor damage.
