New Game Plus is a gameplay mechanic in Lies of P. New Game+, or NG+ can be entered after reaching one of the three Endings, either immediately or theough the Stargazer menu after returning to Hotel Krat.
Differences[]
- The story and events in New Game+ are identical to New Game. This gives the player a chance to experience different interactions with characters from before through the Lie System and reach a different ending.
- Increase in game difficulty and greater reward in Ergo for defeating enemies.
- Subsequent New Game Pluses will further increase difficuty and Ergo recieved from enemies.
- Improved +1 versions of Defense Parts and Amulets.
- The player keeps all Items and Equipment except for all Collectibles (besides Records), as well as Krat Supply Boxes and Venigni Collections which are used to expand the inventories of Polendina and Pulcinella.
- Players gain access to a sixth phase of the P-Organ as well as a sixth tier of abilities for each ability type.
- Players will start New Game Plus back in Chapter I in Krat Central Station. They are then given the option to reset the P-Organ and are refunded Quartz. At the end of the train car, the worktable that was used to choose a Combat Style will instead become "Geppetto's Tools". This can be interacted with to change or modify the Legion Arm.
- Fast travel to the Saintess of Mercy Statue is available from the start. Players cannot leave the room until it is reached normally after defeating Champion Victor.
- The Wandering Merchant and Test Subject 826 sell Golden Records.
- The Gold Coin Tree is available from the start. The door to where Giangio can be found will remain locked until after the Eldest of The Black Rabbit Brotherhood is defeated. A dispenser will be located in front of the door to allow players to buy Star Fragments and Wishstones.
- The "Puppet Language" can now be read during boss fights against puppets, giving further insight to their emotions and motivations.
