Stargazers are a gameplay mechanic in Lies of P. They serve as checkpoints in each location.
Overview[]
Stargazers are scattered throughout each area. Once repaired, players can use them as checkpoints and fast travel to other unlocked Stargazers. Stargazers give players access to the following effects:
- Upon death, Sophia will use her power to rewind time, causing the player to respawn at the last Stargazer visited.
- All normal enemies will respawn each time a Stargazer is interacted with.
- Interacting with a Stargazer will restore the player's health, stamina, replenish Pulse Cells, and remove any status effects.
- All items in the player's bag are restocked if they have extras in their storage. Players can also access their storage for inventory management.
- Can be used to swap equipped Grindstones, Wishstones, and Legion Arms and assemble Weapons, provided they have been unlocked by progressing through the story.
- Stargazers cannot be interacted with when enemies are nearby.
- When using the fast travel menu at a Stargazer, it will show the location of all unlocked Stargazers that the player can teleport to.
- The fast travel menu will show icons of characters and recollections beside locations, denoting who to speak to and where to advance a questline.
- After finding the Gold Coin Tree, the Stargazer menu will show the amount of Gold Coin Fruit ready to harvest as well as the time until another fruit can be harvested.
- When arriving at Krat Central Station Plaza, players can use the Stargazer to level up for a limited number of times. After reaching Hotel Krat, players can only level up by speaking to Sophia until they reach the Black Seaside later in the story. Here, Sophia will give players the last of her power, allowing them to level up at any Stargazer for an unlimited number of times.
- If the player did not start New Game Plus immediately after completing the story, they can do so by accessing a Stargazer.
Trivia[]
- Hotel Krat features a unique Stargazer in the center of the lobby. The dials around this Stargazer will move as the story progresses.
- Small blue butterflies can be seen flying around Stargazers, signifying they are powered by Sophia.
